Yvonne Pelletier 79 of Hadley MA., passed away August 12, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
Yvonne was a true matriarch of the Pelletier family. She was predeceased by her parents Laurence and Blanche Pelletier, her siblings George, Henry, Theresa Pelletier and Margaret Bunnell. She was also sadly predeceased by her niece Elizabeth Fickett, nephews Brian Pelletier, Micheal Pelletier, George Pelletier and her great niece Camellia Idusuyi.
She leaves behind the love of her life Carl Johnson, and a legacy of 4 generations of nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all of her friends and family.
Yvonne graduated High school of Commerce in 1960 and went on to pursue a career as a bank teller for Shamut Bank in Springfield MA. Shortly thereafter her career took a turn and she began a 28 year career with Sears Credit as a debt collector. In true Yvonne fashion she believed in second chances and gave many during her career. She has even received presents from Clients that she has collected from. After retiring from Sears Credit in 1993 she went on to work for Gold & Vaneria as a debt collector. She retired from there after 15 years.
In her official retirement Yvonne spent her time living and loving life with Carl. Yvonne enjoyed a good casino bus trip, a good book, and a good beer (always out of a glass). If she wasn’t telling jokes she was out on the dance floor. Yvonne loved life and never took a moment for granted. She had strong family values and kept in touch with everyone. She kept everyone connected. She was our family historian and told the best stories. Holiday pineapple sauce will never be thick without her presence.
Carl and Yvonne’s family would like to thank all of the nurses at Mass General's Lunder 8. Their thoughtfulness and compassion will always be remembered.
A celebration of Yvonne’s life will take place at the convenience of the family.
