William H. Stephens of Weymouth passed away on August 12, 2022, at the age of 76. William was born at the Chelsea Naval Hospital 1946 and was raised and educated in Weymouth graduating from the Weymouth High School. After graduating William attended Wentworth in Boston and received an associate’s degree for Machine Processes and Transmission. William then joined the United States Army and served his country proudly and honorably as a Specialist 4th Class. Upon the completion of his military duty William worked in Maintenance for many years at Weymouth Hard Leather and Tom's Service Station.
William loved tinkering with things most notably anything with a motor. He enjoyed photography and cameras and always kept his mind sharp by playing a game of chess when he could. William was a simple man with a gentle soul and tremendous sense of humor.
William was the devoted son of the late Ralph E. Stephens and Frances Stephens of Weymouth. He was the loving brother of Ralph R. Stephens and cherished uncle of Aaron Stephens of Brockton and Michele Stephens-Martinez and her husband Bertty of Hanover.
