NEW BEDFORD — Beth Richardson Macy of Dartmouth Massachusetts was an accomplished and award winning water colorist and oil pastel artist with paintings displayed and owned throughout New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts. She was a painting teacher at the Dartmouth Council on Aging.
Beth was a member of the Bierstadt Art Society and the Dartmouth Cultural Council.
She received her art training at the Garland School of Boston, Skidmore College in New York, and the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She further studied under the tutorage of Albert Dorne and Norman Rockwell of Westport, Conn.
Beth was a long time New Bedford resident and was the daughter of Dr. Harold Perry and Edith Perry. She was the beloved grandmother of Michael Owen, Macy Willbanks and Tylor Bradford Macy Willbanks.
She leaves behind two daughters, Deborah Beth Macy of New Bedford and Beth Heather Macy of Newbury, Massachusetts.
Her funeral will take place on Thursday, May 17, 2006, at 1 P.M. in the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford Visitation hours are Wednesday 6-8 P.M. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
