CHICOPEE – Renée M. (Turgeon) Croteau, 59, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Friday, August 19, 2022. She passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on March 17, 1963, a beloved daughter of the late Lucien J. “Shorty” and Coszette R. (Leonard) Turgeon. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and was a lifelong resident of Chicopee. She was a loving wife and mother to her family and showered them with her love and affection that was returned to her a thousand fold. She was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. She leaves her beloved husband and soul mate, Donald L. Croteau. They were married on May 21, 1983 at Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 39 years of happiness together. She also leaves her two loving sons, Christopher J. Croteau and Matthew D. Croteau, both of Chicopee; her dear sister, Lisa C. Roy and her husband, John, of Ludlow; her dear brother in law, Jean Croteau and his wife, Ruth, of Chicopee; her two dear sisters in law, Doris Gauthier of Chicopee and Diane Samson and her husband, Paul, of Wilbraham; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her dear brother in law, Edward Gauthier. Her Family and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 594 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (please meet directly at the Church). Her Burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. There are no visiting hours. Her Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
