Obituary

Worcester – Marion J. (Langer) Tassone, 86, of Worcester and formerly of Auburn, passed away in the Jewish Healthcare Center on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.

Marion was married for 53 years to her late husband, Vincent A. Tassone Jr., who passed away in 2014. She is survived by her four children, Mary Tassone-Kaizer and her husband Edward of Wilmington, MA, Christopher Tassone and his longtime companion, Christina Hoernke of Worcester, Lisa Young and her husband Steven of Auburn and Matthew Tassone of Webster; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and many nephews and nieces including Claudia Austin Curry, with whom she had a special relationship.

Marion was born in North Adams, daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Luscier) Langer and is also predeceased by a brother, Donald Langer and a sister, Doris Austin. She graduated from Drury High School in North Adams and then spent much of her career driving a school bus while living in East Canaan, CT and upon moving to Auburn she worked in production control for Allegro Microsystems until her retirement.

Marion was a fan of her beloved Boston Red Sox and would always make it a point to watch the Patriots. She bowled alongside her late husband, Vincent for many years in the Sprague Electric Bowling Leagues and would regularly take walks around her neighborhood in Auburn talking with all of her neighbors. Mrs. Tassone had a green thumb for vegetable gardening and could often be found doing fill-in puzzle books or reading harlequin romance books. She would always welcome people into her home and feed them as if they were part of her family, her passion for baking and cooking will be greatly missed by her family and friends.


A Celebration of Life for Marion will be held on August 28th at Auburn Lodge of Elks from 12-4. Please reach out to the family if you plan to attend by this Sunday night.
