Daughter of Crispina Gil Romero and Juan Julian del Valle Mateu. Younger sister to Delia Bernardina, Juan Julian, and older sister to Roberto Francisco, Angel Jesus, and Remedios. Loving spouse of the late Vicente Carbona Alonso ‘Yayo’. Adoring mother to Vicente, Consuelo, Remedios, and Carolina. Cherished grandmother of Omar, Roman, Shereen, Lola, Andres, Delia, Nina, Mateo, Dorey Juliana, and Vicente. Devoted great-grandmother to Lilianna and Mila. Yaya and Yayo immigrated with their young family to Boston in 1966. Yaya was a small business owner and an extraordinary seamstress. Yaya will be forever missed by all those whose lives she touched. Consuelo's family will receive visitors on Thursday August 18, 2022 from 9-9:30 AM, words of remembrance from 9:30-10:30 AM, followed by a Religious Service from 10:30 - 11 AM in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale, Ma. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, 500 Canterbury Street, Roslindale, Ma.
