Richard S. Blake age 84 of Salem, NH, died Monday at Salemhaven Nursing Home, Salem, NH.
He was born in Nashua, NH, grew up and was educated in Lowell, and graduated from Lowell High School. He later graduated from Northeastern University, with a degree in Engineering. He was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 42 years, formerly of Worcester and Lowell, MA.
Mr. Blake was a retired Electrolysis Engineer for New England Power Service Company in Lawrence, MA. He also worked form Massachusetts Electric in No. Andover, MA. He was a former member of the Pepperell, MA Congregational Church. Mr. Blake was a US Navy veteran, serving on the USS Chemung during World War II. He was a life member of the VFW Memorial Post 8546 in Salem, NH. He enjoyed bowling, and was an avid golfer. He played for many years at Pine Valley Golf Course in Pelham, NH, where he got 2 holes in one.

Funeral services will be private for the family. There are no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at Pepperell Cemetery, Pepperell, MA.
