Obituary

Mary E. Raiche, 82, died August 11, 2022 at Cape Canaveral Hospice following a lengthy journey with Alzheimer’s.
She was born in Honolulu, HI., on October 30, 1939 the daughter of Edward and Nora (Collings) Duval.
Mary was dedicated to her family, first and foremost. Her husband and children, and later in life her grandchildren, were a very important part of her world. Mary was also surrounded by a strong group of women she held very close to her heart and spent time with on a regular basis, especially Marie.
After having her five children, Mary earned both a Bachelors and Masters degree. Prior to her retirement she was the director of “The Club” of the Manchester Mental Health Center for 20 years, where she poured her heart and soul. Mary, by choice, heart, and profession was a tireless advocate for those who had no voice.
Mary had a genuine love of life and was as accepting of life’s challenges as she was of life’s happy and successful times. Mary’s laugh was infectious and could be heard from a distance. She enjoyed quiet moments rocking a grandchild as well as the more noisy pleasures on a cruise ship. Mary loved the beach and reading and movie going. She was fortunate to visit many countries and enjoyed the many cultures around the world.
Family members include her husband of 63 years, Robert E. Raiche Sr. of Cocoa Beach, FL., five children; Robert E. Raiche Jr., Denise Raiche-Casinghino and her husband, Gary, Maureen Raiche Manning and her husband, Donald, Donna Raiche, Kathleen Raiche-Stephens and her husband, Gregg all of Manchester, ten loving grandchildren; Tiffany, Sarah, Christopher, Mary, David, Brady, Nolan, Aidan, Hannah, Brendan and four great grandchild, Phineas, Calder, Shepard, and Emelia.
She also leaves nine brothers and sisters; Anne Dwyer, Jeanne Corbett, Eddie Duval, Kathleen Desjardins, Patricia Clancy, Virginia Poulios, Therese Duval, Michael Duval, and Jimmy Duval, and her sister-in-law and her husband, Paulette and Donald Auger, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by one brother, Thomas Duval.
