Janet “Jan” F. (Copper) Perry, 75 of Auburn passed away on Thursday, August 11th at Rose Monahan Hospice House. She is survived by her companion, Angie Perry of Auburn and her sister, Cynthia Butts of Windsor, CT. Jan also leaves behind Kellie Mattress and her husband, Raymond of Auburn, Melissa Conlin-Stolberg and her wife, Donna of Millbury, and Shawna Conlin of Auburn; 6 grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, John, and Adriana Conlin-Stolberg and Dominic and Anthony Mattress; many cousins; her special friend, Diane Moore; and her three loving dogs, Rosie, Buster, and Ruby. She was pre-deceased by a companion of 34 years, Carol Conlin and her cousin Rev. Charles Armey, which who she took care of in his last years.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of John F. and Anne B (Ross) Copper. Jan graduated from West Boylston Senior High School in 1965 and later moved to Auburn. She worked as a supervisor for 35 years at Vellumoid, Inc. in Worcester as well as Cumberland Farms. Jan could often be found playing online games such as solitaire and Angry Birds. She enjoyed cooking and baking treats and often shared them with her friends and neighbors. Jan always had a joke for something, her humor was unforgettable. She was a dog lover and never met a dog she didn’t like. Above all else, Jan was very generous person who was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.
Her funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 15th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street. There are no calling hours. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family with arrangements.
