Richard Leon Porter

Richard "Rick" Leon Porter, 70, of Anderson, passed away August 8, 2022 at Rawlins House in Pendleton, following an extended illness.
He was born on February 10, 1952 in Anderson. He was the son of Ernest and Mary Pauline (Brown ) Porter. He was employed for 42 years with Owens-Brockway Glass in Lapel and enjoyed tinkering in the garage with his tools and woodworking. He had attended Edgewood Baptist Church.
Rick is survived by his wife, Cherylle (Ake) Porter; children; Amy Pendley, Amanda Collins, Ross (Maria) Anderson, Christine Anderson; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Paula Geschwind; brother, Kenneth (Vicki) Porter.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 1-3 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Memorial Contributions may be given to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
