Brandon Russell Cravey, 21, of Omega, died Monday, May 15, 2006 in Tifton. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 4:30 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church. Rev. Ralph McDonald will officiate with burial to follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Clements, Jason Clements, David Rigdon, John Paul Reinhardt, Matthew May, Ben Thomas, Dustin Hawkins, Carrie Hawkins, Dennis House and Rueben Bailey. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Bethel Baptist Church, Bill Willis, Harold Bennett, Buddy Hartsfield, Kim Turner, James Thompkins and Charles Lindsey. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Cravey was born on June 5, 1984 in Tift County and was the son of Oscar William "Bill" Cravey, III and Laura Gay Cravey of Omega. He was a student and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John Henry Gay and Ruth Norton Vickers and his paternal grandfather, O. W. Cravey, Jr.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cravey is survived by two brothers, Chris Cravey of Saint Augustine, Florida and Michael Cravey of Omega; his paternal grandmother, Sara Frances Cravey of Omega; his "granddaddy", Hugh Vickers of Haines City, Florida; and a nephew, John Cravey of Tifton.
