NEW BEDFORD — Kerry L. Walter, age 49 years, of New Bedford, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 11, 2006.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Thomas P. Keeping Sr., and the late Jean (Bannister) Keeping.
A lifelong area resident, she was a waitress at many of the downtown New Bedford restaurants. Interested in art, she was also a great sports fan showing great interest in the Patriots, Bruins and Red Sox.
Kerry had a keen sense of humor, loved to laugh and was involved in standup comedy. She also loved the ocean.
She is survived by her first husband and current companion, Bruce H. Walter of South Dartmouth; her brother, Thomas P. Keeping Jr., of Syracuse, N.Y.; and her sisters, Kyle O'Connell of Somerset, MA., and Dr. Karen Keeping of Dartmouth, MA.
Her funeral will take place on Thursday, May 18, 2006, at 11 A.M. in the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., New Bedford with visitation from 7-9 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
