Obituary

Suzanne Mary (Moschitto) Gilpatric passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 2nd after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary Josephine (Bove) Moschitto and James D. Moschitto. Suzanne leaves her husband Peter D. Gilpatric and son Colin D. Gilpatric, both from Medfield, MA. She is survived by two younger brothers, Dr. Lawrence J. Moschitto, M.D. and James M. Moschitto, both of Methuen, MA.

Suzanne grew up in Medford, MA and after graduating from Salem State University with a teaching degree, she was an elementary school teacher for her whole career in the Medford School System. Suzanne loved teaching young children and taught first, second and third grades and finished her career as an Elementary school Reading Specialist. She loved planning family vacation trips, traveling with friends and family, and shopping. Her favorite vacation trip was with a large family contingent to Italy where we toured Venice, Tuscany, including Florence and Pisa, Sorrento, Capri and Rome.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Raphael’s Church, 512 High St., Medford on Wednesday, August 17th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation online at: www.parkinson.org.
