June Pendley, 86, of Tifton passed away Friday, August 5, 2022, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service will be held for Miss Pendley at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2022, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Rodney Owens will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals
Miss Pendley’s family members will serve as pallbearers.
Born January 11, 1936, in Tifton, Miss Pendley was the daughter of the late Hilliard Samuel Pendley and Ida Vines Patrick Pendley. Before retiring, she was a business owner.
Miss Pendley is survived by one sister, Hilda P. Akins of Tifton; two nephews and their wives, Paul and Peggy Akins and George and Angela Akins, all of Tifton; one great-niece and her husband, Deann and John Lewenthal of Birmingham, England; two great-nephews, Reece Akins and his wife, Jill of Valdosta and Rob Akins of Tifton; and two great-great nieces, Marley and Taylor.
