SALEM - Marion G. (Calder) MacDonald, age 85, of Salem, wife of the late John D. MacDonald, died Saturday morning, May 13, 2006 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, following a short illness.
Born in Marblehead, she was the daughter of the late Elewyn E. and Ruth M. (Shira) Calder and was a resident of Salem for most of her life.
Prior to her retirement in 1986, she was employed at Jordan Marsh in Peabody for many years.
Mrs. MacDonald is survived by one niece, Jane Ketcham of Plano, Texas, 2 cousins, Joyce Duffy of Newton, NH, Eleanor Glover of Beverly and dear friends, Nancy & Stephen Barry of Rowley.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at 2 pm in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. A visitation will be held prior to the service, from 1 to 2 pm. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
