Jimmy Joe Hines, 79, of Anderson, passed away July 23, 2022 at Anderson Acension St.Vincent Hospital.
He was born on September 20, 1942 in Anderson, the son of Clarence James and Mary Lucille (Lawson) Hines. He served in the US Navy and was employed as a millwright with Delco Remy for over 30 years. Jimmy enjoyed fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carla (Paschal) Hines; three daughters, Kim (Larrry) VanBuskirk, Leslie (Wayne) Hendrickson, Mary Ann (John) Davis; four grandchildren, Jamie (Paul) Schooley, Joshua (Crissie) VanBuskirk, Heather Hendrickson, Kadie Davis; eight great grandchildren, Hannah and Delainey Zdanowski, Brooklynn VanBuskirk, Ethan Hendrickson, Madalynn VanBuskirk, Caden Leonard, Boston VanBuskirk, Alayna Schooley; two sisters, Nancy (Gary) High, Kathy Allee.
Jimmy was preceded in death by twin sons, Jimmy Joe and Jeffrey Allen; brother, Steve Hines, and his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery with military graveside rites.
Visitation will also be held on Thursday from 11-2 PM at the funeral home.
