Obituary

Floyd E. Elmore, 90, of Anderson, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on July 19, 2022.

He was born January 20, 1932 in Anderson, the son of William C. and Alta (Burton) Elmore.

Floyd was employed at Delco Remy as a sheet metal journeyman and maintenance supervisor retiring after 33 years on July 1, 1983.

He was an active member of Fellowship Masonic Lodge # 681 since 1956 and Moose Lodge # 150, where he served as Governor from 1992-93.

Floyd served in the United States Navy and retired from the Naval Reserves after 23 years of service with the rank of Chief Petty Officer on January 20, 1992.

He is survived by his three children, Connie Elmore-Neal of Middletown, Darcey (Anne) Elmore of Zionsville and Joni (Dennis) Scott of Anderson; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Leandra (Troup) Elmore; his daughter, Tina Elmore; his son, Raymond Elmore, brother, William Elmore and a sister, Helen Allen.

Visitation and funeral service will be from 11 a.m. until 12 noon on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Ned Clark officiating with military rites by the Daleville American Legion. Masonic Lodge to perform rites prior to the service as well.

Memorial contributions may be given to Fellowship Masonic Lodge # 681.
