Westbrook- Sue Ellen “Sue” Bird, age 73, passed away July 19, 2022, at Maine Medical Center after a long battle with health issues.
She was born on January 30,1949 in Providence, Rhode Island to Lawrence and Eva Gilpatrick. Sue graduated from King Philip Regional High School in Wrentham, Ma in 1966.
She married her first husband Thomas Nichols and had two sons, Paul and Peter. She worked for many years as a dietary aid at The Aroostook Medical Center.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, cribbage and was very social. She is predeceased by her first husband Thomas Nichols, her brother Paul Nichols and her second husband Harry Bird.
She is survived by her son Paul Nichols of Caribou Me, her son and daughter in law, Peter and Tara Nichols of Buxton Me, her four grandchildren, Kylie Nichols of Caribou, ME, Jarred Jordan of Presque Isle Me and Mya and Allie Nichols of Buxton Me, her three great grandchildren, Leah and Charlotte Doody of Caribou Me and Ella McLaughlin of Canada.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
A Celebration of Life is planned in the future.
