William F. Hannon, 60, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 13 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Janet M. (Trainor) Hannon. Born in Boston, Mr. Hannon was a resident of Milton for 30 years before living in Stoughton for 30 years. He was a graduate of Milton High School and Boston State College. Mr. Hannon was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was the Dispatch Manager at Manfi Leasing in Freetown for the past 3 years after working for United Liquors in West Bridgewater and Braintree for 33 years. He was an avid golfer and Red Sox fan.
In addition to his wife Janet, Mr. Hannon is survived by his children, William M. Hannon and his wife Leanne of Somerville, Michael L. Gargiulo and his wife Stephanie of Danvers and Nancy J. Gargiulo of Stoughton, as well as his grandson, Zachary Gargiulo. He was the brother of Helen Batiste of Milton and the late Joseph “Buddy” Hannon and Carol Hannon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Denise (Burke).
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, May 17 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:15 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton. Donations in William’s name may be made to the American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
