Obituary

SEBAGO- John S. Washington III, age 32, passed away unexpectedly on July 17, 2022 in Cornish, ME in a motorcycle accident.

He was born March 8, 1990 in Sanford ME and is survived by his mother Darlene Bourque Fenderson of Brownfield, father John S. Washington Jr. of Bridgton, and step-father Bryan Fenderson of North Conway.

After graduating from Massabesic High School John enlisted in the Marine Corp MOS 0311, one tour to Afghanistan with full Military honors. Once he returned home he became a jack of all trades from welding to radio installations, whatever John set his mind to he would excel in it. In March of 2015 he met the love of his life Stevie-Lee Washington, and said I do on December 16, 2020. For the past two and a half years he was an installer at Stone Surface located in Naples, ME. John had a large amount of hobbies including hunting, fishing, photography, kayaking, hiking with his two dogs on the weekends, riding his motorcycle, shooting pool, and playing online video games his favorite to play being PUBG. John had a contagious smile and was always extremely humble. Anyone who knew him knows he would give anyone the shirt off his back, and would help even a stranger in need.


John is predeceased by his Grandfather Thomas Bourque of Sanford Maine.

He is survived by his beloved wife Stevie-Lee Washington and his two beautiful German shepherd dogs Nakita and Charlie of Sebago; brother- Ethan Fenderson of brownfield; Sisters Emily Fenderson of Brownfield and Heather Howgate of Sanford; Niece Kayleigh Howgate and nephew Colby Soto of Sanford.


A graveside service officiated by Pastor Will Kindred with USMC Honors will be held on Saturday July 30 at 10 AM at the New Sebago Cemetery, Hancock Pond Road, Sebago. A celebration of life will be held immediately after at the Sebago Town Recreation Department.
