Aida Iris Irizarry, 80 of Lowell, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022 at D’Youville Senior Health Care. Aida Iris was born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico on February 8,1942 and was a daughter of the late Anselmo Irizarry and the late Maria Luisa Hernandez.
She was raised in Puerto Rico until relocating to Lowell, Massachusetts in 1993, under the care of her sister, Ernestina Cornier who she resided with along with Ernestina's son Jose Cornier, Jr. She enjoyed singing, watching cartoons, animals and costume jewelry.
In addition to Ernestina and Jose Jr., Aida is survived by her niece, Sandra Cornier of Nashua, NH; her nephews Jose Raul Cornier of Chicago, IL and Roberto Cornier of East Providence, RI; her sisters Teresa Irizarry, Carmen Irizarry, Sonia Irizarry; brother Jaime Irizarry; many nieces and nephews.
On Thursday 21st of July, 2022 all are welcome to gather in the parking lot at 10:15 am at the McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, MA 978-458-6816. A procession will then proceed to drive to the Edson Cemetery at 10:30 am. Graveside Service will start at 11 am.
