Obituary

New Bedford – James B. Reilly, Jr., 56, of Hadley Street, New Bedford died Thursday, May 11, 2006 at home. He was the husband of Leslie A. (Stevens) Reilly of Swansea.

Born in Providence, RI, son of James B. Reilly, Sr. and Mable B. (Adams) Reilly of Florida, he had resided in the area his whole life. James graduated in 1967 from Barrington High School, was the plant manager of New England Plastics for many years and coached 9 years of baseball in Westport. Mr. Reilly was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, an avid fisherman, and a passionate New England sports fan and NASCAR (#3). He touched the lives of so many with his tender heart, enormous wealth of knowledge, valuable sense of humor and wit, and of course his dashing good looks. He will be in our hearts and memories forever.

Including his parents and his wife, he is survived by a son: J.T. Reilly of Warwick, RI; a daughter: Kelli M. Hahn of Mattapoisett; 2 brothers: Timothy Reilly of FL and Patrick Reilly of FL; 4 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, May 19, 2006 at the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Rd., Westport from 5 – 7 P.M. with a service at 6:30 P.M.

Interment will be private.
