Sally R. (Brauneis) Shannon, 77, of Medway, MA passed away peacefully on Friday July 8, 2022 at the Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Westborough. She was the beloved wife of Richard C. Shannon who died in 2015.
Born in Franklin, MA on May 28, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Blanche E. (Perry) Brauneis.
Sally worked as a manager for McDonalds for many years. She was an employee of KMART and Capital One. Most recently she became a caregiver helping and caring for others. She was feisty, stubborn and had a heart of gold always worrying about others. She loved being around her family and friends, gardening, reading, going to the ocean and playing with Apollo, her puppy.
She is survived by her children, Tammy Fitzpatrick and her husband Gary of Plainfield, CT, Betty Trainor and her husband Daniel of Commerce, Georgia and Richard Shannon Jr. of Medway, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her brother David Brauneis and his wife Alice of Palmer, Alaska.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, July 15 at 1:30 pm at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave. in Bourne, MA.
