Obituary

Mary G. (Sullivan) Malley of Peabody Glen Nursing Center, formerly of Roslindale died May 12, 2006 at the Salem Hospital. She was 91. Mrs. Malley was born in Boston and lived in Roslindale for 80 years. She has lived in Peabody for the last 11 years. She was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School, class of 1932 and received her Undergraduate Degree from Boston Teachers College in 1936 and her Master’s Degree in 1937. She was a school teacher in the Boston Public School System for 35 years. She was a member of the Bernadines of Holy Name Church and the Holy Name Church Band Assoc. She was also a member of the West Roxbury and Roslindale Senior Citizens, the Massachusetts Teachers Assoc. and the Boston Teachers Union.

She was the beloved wife of the late Charles L. Malley. She was the devoted mother of Charles L. Malley Jr. and his wife Patricia of Roslindale and Marie G. Pelletier and her husband Robert of Middleton. Grandmother of Charles L. and Shannon Malley of Roslindale, Robert M. Pelletier and his wife Tracy of Salem and Juliebeth Pelletier of Denver, CO. Great grandmother of Michael R. Pelletier. Sister of the late Gerard Sullivan who died for his country in World War II.

Funeral from the P.E. Murray-George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St., West Roxbury, on Tuesday at 9:00 AM. Funeral mass in the Holy Name Church, West Roxbury, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Monday from 4-8 PM. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
