WORCESTER - Leone "Lee" Bean, 99, formerly of the Goddard House of Worcester 1199 Main Street and of 103 Illinois Street died Sunday, August 4 in Notre Dame Long Term Care Center after a long illness.
Miss Bean leaves many nieces and nephews including Helen Campbell of Manchester, CT and David Jarvis of South Lancaster. She is predeceased by three brothers David, Henry, and John Bean; two sisters Eva Magoon and Gertrude Rorick. She was born in Worcester daughter of Louis and Ella (Taillon) Bean. She graduated from Commerce High School and the Post Business College.
Miss Bean was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church and it's Golden Age Club, Insurance Services Office 25 Year Club, a former member of the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Women and the National Association of Insurance Women. She enjoyed gardening and reading.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday August 7 at 11 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church 53 Illinois Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Holy Name of Jesus Memorial Fund 51 Illinois Street Worcester, MA 01610.
