Chad A. Souza, 26, of New Bedford, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.
He was the son of Lawrence J. and Susan M. (Smith) Souza of New Bedford.
Born in New Bedford, he lived in the city all of his life. He was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
Mr. Souza was employed by Zapp USA in New Bedford and Big Boar Harley Davidson in Westport. He served in the U. S. Army 82nd Airborne Division in Korea, Saudi Arabia and Panama before his discharge, attaining the rank of Sergeant.
Survivors include his parents; two sisters, Sugar L. Gibney of New Bedford and Janet L. Padilla of Dartmouth; two nieces, Tiffany A. Mackie of New Bedford and Katelyn A. Costa of Dartmouth; a nephew, Cody M. Gibney of New Bedford; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
