Madeline M. (Oliveira) Sinclair, 84 of Westport, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 ,at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Francis B Sinclair. She was born in Fall River, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Aguiar) Oliveira. She had lived in Westport for over fifty years. Prior to retirement, she was an assistant manager at Agway in New Bedford. Madeline was a loving and devoted mother. She always put others before herself. She loved her little farm in her backyard including her dog Cici and her goat Chester. Madeline loved preparing meals and hosting for her family and friends. Her favorite pastime was shopping at Lees Supermarket. Miss Sinclair often traveled to Martha’s Vineyard and Florida where she enjoyed bike riding and the ocean views with her husband. She was a follower of Jesus Christ, loved hosting bible studies in her home, and was a member of Dartmouth Bible Church.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter: Derek J. Cruz and his wife Brenda of Martha’s Vineyard, Russell Teasdale Sr. of Westport, and Lisa Leite of Dartmouth. Also, a stepson Johnny Teasdale Jr. of Fall River and two stepdaughters, Dorothy Teasdale of Somerset, and Wendy Brockel and her husband Audie of South Dakota. She was mother of the late Frank Cruz Jr. She has fifteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 30, from 6-8pm.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are welcome to attend will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:00am.
Interment to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
