Obituary

Barbara (Babcock) Stulak, 74, of Deering, NH died April 6, 2006 at her residence after a long illness.

Born in Haverstraw, NY on December 13, 1931, she was the daughter of Edward and Araminta (Goethe) Babcock.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from Mt. Holyoke College, Amherst, MA and a master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.

Mrs. Stulak worked as an engineer at Bell Labs in Cherry Hill, NJ for 10 years and as merchandise manager at M. Epstein’s department store in Morristown, NJ for 24 years.

She was a co-founder of the Chester Montesorri School in New Jersey and served on that school’s board of trustees for many years, including three years as its president. She was very active with the Indian Lake Association in Putnam Valley, NY and served as its treasurer for three years.

She was the widow of Gene Stulak.

The family includes two children, Karen A. Cross of Deering, NH and Edward N. Stulak of Randolph, NJ; three grandchildren, Lauren Cross and Erika Cross both of Deering, NH and Brendan Stulak of Randolph, NJ

A memorial service was held Saturday, May 27, 2006 at the Indian Lake Association, Putnam Valley, NY. Memorial donations may be made to the Indian Lake Association, 83 Indian Lake Rd., Putnam Valley, NY 10579
