WORCESTER__ Kathleen Mary (O’Leary) James, 82 of Auburn passed away in her sleep on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 in St. Mary Healthcare Center in Worcester after a long battle with dementia. Her husband of 56 years, Robert D. James, Sr., died in February of 2014.
She is survived by her son, Robert D. James, Jr. and his wife Darlene of Auburn. Also by her sister Marianne Firlings and her husband John (Jack) of Brewster MA, her grand-children Kaej James and Sarah James of West Roxbury MA, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Margaret Rugg and her brother Joseph O’leary. She was born in Worcester a daughter of Joseph and Helen (Barros) O’Leary . She lived with her husband in Worcester, Oxford, and Boylston MA, and Baileyville Maine. Mrs. James retired as a security clerk for Georgia Pacific Paper Manufacturing.
Burial services are private in St. John Cemetery, Worcester, MA. with only close family members present.
