TEWKSBURY: Shawn R. Campbell, age 60, a resident of Tewksbury for 29 years, passed away at home in the care of his family and hospice on Saturday, June 18, 2022, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was the beloved husband of Cheryl T. (Phelan) with whom he celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on May 14th.
Born in Quincy on April 26, 1962, he was the son of the late Robert Campbell and the late Marjorie (McNamara) Campbell.
Shawn was raised in Quincy, attended Quincy grammar schools, and graduated from North Weymouth Vocational High School.
Prior to his illness, Shawn worked as a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service at the North Reading distribution facility.
During his spare time, he enjoyed collecting Matchbox, Hot Wheels, memories, and friends. He also enjoyed spending time repairing vintage cars.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Nicholas S. Campbell and Denis P. Campbell, both of Tewksbury: his sister, Helene Ryan, of Pepperell: two brothers, Paul Campbell and his wife Michelle, of Weymouth and David Campbell, of Quincy. He leaves several nieces and nephews, numerous extended family members and friends.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 24th, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. At Shawn’s request, there are no funeral services.
