WORCESTER-Peter Sotiriou, 72, went to our Lord Tuesday, May 9 after suffering a stroke.
His wife of 47 years, Loula (Zoulas) Sotiriou passed away in January. He leaves two daughters, Anna and her husband Nikolaos Engonidis of Worcester and Irene and her husband Vasilios Vogiatzis of Wilmington, NC; two sisters, Ellie Efstathiou and Vasiliki Kokkinos both of Worcester; two grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was born in Finiki, Epirus, Greece the son of Nikolaos and Anna (Fillou) Sotiriou and moved to Worcester in 1948 then was married to his late wife, Loula in 1958. Mr. Sotiriou was a baker for 35 years at Table Talk Pie Company retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Peter enjoyed traveling especially back home to Greece. He was a very generous, loving and caring father who adored his grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday, May 13 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a funeral service at 10:00 AM at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St followed by burial in Hope Cemetery.
