Obituary

On June 15th, Patrick Butler of Brockton, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at the age of 58 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Port Au Prince, Haiti, as the fourth child of the late Nativida Soline Fortune and of Frederic Butler. Patrick was an ordained elder and deacon at Brockton Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church. In his early career he worked as an accountant and later transitioned to working as a mental health case manager. Patrick was a faithful servant of the Lord who devoted his life to evangelism by spreading the gospel on his TV show “Les Grandes Analyses”.

Patrick was extremely kind, caring, forgiving and funny. He was well loved by all. He had a passion for sports, fitness, health and entertainment.  He was known for his positivity, courage, serenity and would even put on a smile during the most difficult times. On his deathbed he eased his family’s anxiety by whispering “Mwen an fom” (I am good).

He was married to Marjorie Mompoint Butler for 32 years. In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter Valerie Butler,  his three brothers, Yvon Mondesir, Jean Claude Butler and Musset “Seraphin” Butler,  his two sisters, Marie Anne Gessey Mondesir and Leslie Butler as well as many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of God in the life of Patrick Butler will be held at Brockton Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church, at 235 Court Street, Brockton, Massachusetts on Sunday June 26th at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Central Cemetery, at 327 North Street, Randolph, Massachusetts.
