Windle “Richard” Cannady, 72, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Harborview Nursing Home in Tifton. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2022, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley officiating. Mr. Cannady will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Hunter Ramsey, Trapper Ramsey, Scott Jackson, Alex Delaney, Teddy Allen Cameron Cannady and David Sanders will serve as pallbearers.
Born October 25, 1949, in Tifton, Mr. Cannady was the son of the late Eulan Cannady and Kathryn Nation Cannady. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann McPherson Cannady; one sister, Shirley Jackson; and one great-grandchild, Harper Thrash.
Mr. Cannady is survived by two daughters, Shannon Ramsey of Hiram and Tanya Cannady of Acworth; two step-sons, Billy S. West and Johnny W. West; three brothers, Randle Cannady, Paul Cannady and Timmy Cannady; two sisters, Sandra Allen of Lawrenceville and Wanda Cole of Temple; four grandchildren, Jessica Cannady, Amber Ramsey, Hunter Ramsey and Trapper Ramsey; and two great-grandchildren, Layne Hunter and Ryot Vila.
