SOMERSET - Mary “Mae” (Arruda Massa) Rego, age 94, residence 92 Kennedy Terr., Somerset, MA. formerly of 29 Thomas Dr., Somerset, MA, died Tuesday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late John Rego and is also survived by One Sister: Irene Medeiros of Somerset, One Niece-Dorothy Condry and Two Nephews-Everett Medeiros, Jr. and William Medeiros, Two Grandnephews and Five Grandnieces, Seven Great Grandnieces and Two Great Grandnephews. One Great Great Grandniece.
Born in Somerset, MA, the daughter of the late Manuel Arruda Massa and the late Maria (Raposa) Arruda Massa. She was a life long resident of Somerset. Before retiring, she was a Machine Operator at Tick Tock Frocks. She was a member of the St. John of God Holy Rosary Sodality and the Ladies Guild; Somerset Village Senior Citizens Club; P.A.C.L., I.L.G.W.U., and a former member of the Somerset Drum & Bugle Corp. She was also a member of St. John of God Church.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St. on Saturday at 8:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave., at 9:00 AM. Internment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 4-8 P.M.
