Anna (Fasano) Pizzi passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family on Saturday, June 18th. She was 83 years old. Born in Miranda, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Federico and Mary (Marzano) Fasano. She came with her family to the United States when she was 11 and settled in Boston’s North End. Once married she and her husband Angelo settled in Medford in 1957. Anna was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and was devoted to her family. Anna loved to cook delicious meals for her family and welcome the generations of her family to her Medford home.
The beloved wife of Angelo Pizzi with whom she shared 65 years of marriage, she was a devoted mother to Phyllis McGee and her husband Robert of Lynnfield, Linda Pizzi of Medford, Marianne Coscia and her husband Nicholas of Stoneham, Frederick Pizzi of Medford, Joseph Pizzi and his wife Christine of Stoneham and Robert J. Pizzi and his wife Sheri of Stoneham. Dear mother-in-law of Stephanie Pizzi. Anna was a loving grandmother of Nicholas, David, Michael, Lisa, Jessica, Mary Katherine, Thomas, Brianna and Isabella. She is also survived by her sister Assunta Russell of Georgia.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home on Friday, June 24th from 9 -11 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Anna’s name to the St Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
