Brenda Louise (Anderson) Bernard, age 80, of Gilford, New Hampshire, passed away on Sunday, June 19th at Golden View Nursing Home of Meredith, New Hampshire. Raised and educated in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Rosswell H. and Catherine V. (Fennelly) Anderson. Brenda was employed at Polaroid Corp., and at Dynamic Research in Stoneham. She and her husband moved to New Hampshire eleven years ago. Brenda loved bowling in the Odd-Couples League in Ball Square, tending her garden, and throwing wonderful Fourth of July parties.
Brenda was the beloved wife of Joseph N. Bernard, and the dear sister of the late Rosswell Anderson Jr. and his surviving wife Elaine of Medford, and the late George Anderson and his surviving wife Judy of Tewksbury. She was the sister-in-law of Alice Bencal and her husband Walter of Topsfield, and Pauline Vass and her husband Edward of Salem. Brenda is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews: Denice, Michelle, Michael, Greg, Vicky, Heidi, Christopher, Laurie and Lynn.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Saturday, June 25th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family from 9 AM through 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
