Larry W. Mobley, 67, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Sunday, June 19, 2022, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 10 AM, Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Spring Hill Cemetery, in Irwin County, Georgia, with the Rev. John Gibbs, Jr. officiating.
Mr. Mobley was born February 1, 1955, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Waylon Mobley and Freida Smith Mobley Dews. He graduated from Valdosta High School in 1973 and later attended Valdosta State University. Mr. Mobley worked for Delco Remy and retired from General Motors in Doraville. He loved his horses, his farm and enjoyed working with his tractor. He also spent a great deal of time, along with his wife, Debra, staining all the wood that was in his house. Mr. Mobley attended Bethlehem Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Mobley of Ocilla; children: Jerdan Mobley of Ocilla and Jarrett Mobley of Cordele; step-daughters: Amanda Hutchinson of Fitzgerald and Tonya Kimsey & Jerry of Macon; two grandchildren: Jeslyn and Owen; 8 step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Mobley of Ocilla and a sister, Karen Burdell & Chuck of Conyers. He is also survived by two nieces; three great-nieces and two great-nephews.
