FALL RIVER… Dolores Marie Raposa, 87, of Fall River passed away on June 16, 2022 at Catholic Memorial Home.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Manuel P. and Mary S. (Sousa) Raposa. She had been a lifelong resident of the Flint section of the city.
Miss Raposa was a 1953 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy. She went on to work for the former Dover Stamping before moving onto becoming a Senior Aide for the City of Fall River, working for the Housing Authority, until her retirement in 2012. She was a member of Espirito Santo Church where she was a former member of the Holy Rosary Sodality. An accomplished pianist, Del enjoyed day trips and traveling but above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her cousin, Joanne (Grota) Mercier and her husband Kevin of North Providence, along with many other cousins, friends and co-workers.
A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday, June 24 at 10 AM at Espirito Santo Church, 311 Alden Street Fall River, MA 02723 followed by interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. In lieu of flowers, donations to Espirito Santo Church would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements are entrusted to South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street Fall River, MA 02723.
