Wanda Jean Mathis Hall, 65, of Covington, Georgia, died Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, June 23, 2022, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. David Biggers officiating. Interment will follow in Irwinville Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Thursday.
Mrs. Hall was born June 13, 1957, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Ellis Grover & Marie Woodard Mathis. She was a homemaker and home-school teacher. She also did subcontract work with her husband. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed taking care of animals. Mrs. Hall was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be remembered as a great cook and baker.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ray Hall of Covington; daughters: Angelica Michelle Spangler & James, Amy Marie Hall, and Jennifer Pearl Hall, all of Covington; grandchildren: Matthew James Spangler, Anna Marie Spangler, Joshua Evan Hall, Isabel Ray-Jean Hall, and Joseph Wade Hall; and siblings: Randall James Mathis, Linda Marie Kinney, Brenda Sue Mathis, Carolyn Gilbert, Helen Rebecca Woods, Jackie Elaine Williams, Pamela Isabel Hall, and Sandra Mobley.
