It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas J. Sargent of Portland on June 17th. He passed peacefully at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House after a long battle with cancer.
Tom was the son of George and Alice Sargent of Gloucester, Ma. He was born in Gloucester and raised in Cape Elizabeth, Me. He attended Cape High School & Plus Grays School of Business. He retired from Maine Medical Center where he worked for several years. Tom leaves behind a sister, Nancy O'Brien of Standish and brother, John Sargent of Portland, daughter, Lisa Demmons of Windham, son Thomas C Sargent of Saco, son in law David Demmons, grandchildren Matthew Sargent, Mike Demmons, Brittany Demmons, Marissa Sargent, Madelyn Demmons, Christopher Sargent, great grandchildren Levi Grondin & Elijah Ford and many nieces and nephews.
Tom lived a simple life and enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his favorite sports teams play.
He will be greatly missed.
A private celebration of life will be planned for a future date.
