Obituary

SPENCER: Edward W. Pilling, 56, of Grove Street, died Saturday, June 11, peacefully in his home. He was predeceased by Rosemarie (Campaniello) Pilling.
He leaves two sons; Joshua Pilling of Spencer and Robert Lavoie and his wife Jillian of Richmond, VA, two daughters; Elizabeth Pilling and Carmen Filadelfo both of Spencer, his mother Janet M. (Smith) Pilling of Leicester, two sisters; Christine Kilmonis and her husband David of Leicester and Patricia Pilling of Augusta, GA, a brother Thomas Pilling and his wife Christine of Lakeland, GA. Five grandchildren; Jayden, Juliana, Nolan, Benjamin & Natalee and several nieces and nephews.
Edward was born in Worcester, son of the late Leonard T. Pilling. He graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and served in the Marine Corp Reserve. He was a supervisor at UPS for many years. He owned and operated Pilling Farm with his family. The Farm was started in 1966 as a dairy farm and Ed devoted his entire life to the farm. He enjoyed spending time with his family, sports, Nascar, splitting wood, agricultural fairs and absolutely loved all of his animals.
A calling hour will be held on Sunday June 26th, from 1:30-2:30 pm, followed immediately by a Memorial Service at 2:30 in the Oxford United Methodist Church, 465 Main Street, Oxford. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, Office of Development and Alumni Engagement, 200 Westboro Road, North Grafton, MA 01536.
