Louise A. Gearty
Retired Tewksbury School Nurse

TEWKSBURY: Louise A. (Flucker) Gearty, age 88, a lifelong and vibrant member of the Tewksbury community, passed away at Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

She was the beloved wife of retired Tewksbury Police Department Lieutenant, Paul K. Gearty, with whom she would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on September 17, 2022.

Born in Lowell on June 29, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. Flucker and the late Catherine (Farrell) Flucker.

Louise attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury High School in 1951. Following high school, she entered the Lowell General Hospital School of Nursing, where she became certified as a Registered Nurse.

Prior to retiring, she worked for the Town of Tewksbury as the School Department’s nurse.

Louise was a life member of the Tewksbury Congregational Church, where she served as part of the Friendship Circle and the Holiday Friends..

She served her beloved community as a member of the Tewksbury Housing Authority, the Tewksbury Garden Club, the Tewksbury High School Athletic Hall of Fame Committee, the Tewksbury Piecemakers Quilting Guild, and as a poll worker for the annual town elections.

In addition, she was a member of the Tewksbury Golden Age Club and Senior Drop-In-Center.

Besides her husband Paul, she is survived by her two daughters, Robbin L. Dunn and her husband Duane, and Paula A. Gregory: five grandchildren, Zachary J. Dunn and his wife Mariah, Rachel C. Dunn, Patrick R. Dunn and his girlfriend Taylor Cook, Allison A. Gregory, and Michaela F. Gregory and her boyfriend Jonathon Merritt: her sister, Roberta C. Kane and her sister-in-law, Patricia Gearty.
Louise also leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family members, neighbors, and friends.

Calling hours are Sunday, June 19th, from 3-6 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. Family and friends are invited to meet on Monday, June 20th at 10 a.m. at the Tewksbury Congregational Church, 10 East Street, Tewksbury for her services. Interment will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Tewksbury Congregational Church, 10 East St., Tewksbury, MA 01876.
