Mr. Om Prakash Singhal, a resident of Andover and beloved husband of the late Sheela Rani (Jindal) Singhal, passed away at his home on Tuesday afternoon, June 14, 2022. He was 92 years old.
Born in Punjab, India, he was the beloved son of the late Suraj Bhan and Dhan Devi (Goel) Singhal. Mr. Singhal was employed a section officer in the department of Food and Agriculture of the Government of India, for more than three decades. He moved to USA in 2011, to live with his sons, after his wife passed away. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading newspaper and watching TV. He was also fond of good food. He will be dearly missed.
Om is survived by his loving sons and daughters-in-law, Anil and his wife Abha Singhal of Carlisle, and Ashwani and his wife Nidhi Singhal of Andover; daughter Anita and her husband Ashok Kumar of India; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Friday, June 17, 2022. Visitation will be held in the funeral home, prior to the service, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Cremation will be privately held, with immediate family members.
