FALL RIVER… Maria Deolinda Correia, 93, of Fall River passed away June 12, 2022 at Rhode Island Hospital.
She was the loving wife of the late Augostinho de Almeida Leite to whom she had been married for 30 years prior to his passing.
Born in Urzelina, St. Jorge, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Joaquim da Silva and Maria de Conceicao Correia. She had moved to Fall River with her family in 1983.
Ms. Correia enjoyed going for walks in the park. She loved spending time with her family and helping to raise her beloved grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: Manuel Leite of North Dartmouth, Maria Leocadia Leite of Ponta Delgada, Antonio Henrique Leite of Ponta Delgada, Liberal Leite of Fall River and Joao Manuel Leite of Ponta Delgada; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at South Coast Funeral Home located at 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA 02723, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Espirito Santo at 10:30 AM on Alden Street. Visitation will be held in the funeral home from 8:30 AM to 10 AM, prior to Mass. Interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Fall River, MA.
