Obituary

LACONIA - Natalie Walker Bacon, 57, of Laconia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones at the VNA Hospice Home in Concord, NH.

Natalie was born in Laconia on April 8, 1965, the fifth child of Earle and Marguerite “Margie” (Gilbert) Walker. She graduated from Laconia High School and worked for the State of NH, Department of Health and Human Services for many years.

Natalie had a kind and generous spirit. She always made sure that those around her were well taken care of, extending beyond her family into the community. Natalie loved to shop and would always have her eyes out for items to donate to the Isaiah 61 Cafe. She organized the Christmas Santa Fund for many years while she worked for HHS. Natalie and her mother Margie would shop for toys and clothes all year long so that the families they sponsored at Christmas time would be able to enjoy the holiday. In recent years, she enjoyed bringing her beloved TeaCup Chihuahua, Lulu, to nursing homes to visit with the elderly. She also volunteered for many programs such as Pubmania at Patrick’s Pub, Coats for Kids, Saint Vincent dePaul Food Pantry and Christmas Fund, and the Giving Tree at local churches and businesses.

Natalie was a fiercely dedicated mother. On weekends, you would find her volunteering at Bingo for Holy Trinity School where her daughter, Angela, went to school for many years. She also spent much of her time at Sally’s School of Dance at dance practices, competitions, and recitals for 15 years while her daughter and niece danced.

Natalie enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. One way she showed her love was through cooking. Her homemade soups and peanut butter & jelly cookies were always a hit! She had a habit of making friends wherever she went; Natalie could talk to anybody and make them feel like old friends.

Natalie is survived by her daughter, Angela DelaBruere and husband Isaac of Vermont; sisters Cheryl Walker of Arizona, Janice Walker of Laconia, Judy Johnson of Connecticut; brother, Earle Walker Jr. (Danny) of Belmont and wife Kelley, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Natalie was predeceased by her parents Earle and Marguerite Walker.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Natalie’s name to the New Hampshire Humane Society in remembrance of her deep love of animals.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
