Donald F. Pickering, beloved husband and loving father, 64 years old of Pembroke MA, passed away on June 11, 2022. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children, after a long-term illness. Donald managed his illness with strength and grace and wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible.
Donald was born on February 7, 1958 in Quincy, MA to the late Grace and Robert Pickering Sr.
Donald loved being outdoors; from fishing down at the pond, playing golf with his brothers and friends, to sitting out on the porch with a cup of coffee and a James Patterson novel. Donald also loved the trips he and his wife took to Atlantic City, to gamble and relax on the beach.
Donald was blessed with a large and loving family. In his early 30’s, Donald met the love of his life, Deborah. With his late son Donald Pickering Jr. and Deborah’s daughter Nicole Robbins, they started their life together. He married Deborah on March 16 th , 1991. They went on to have two daughters, Kaitlyn and Kimberly Pickering. Donald wholeheartedly loved his family and spending time with them.
In addition to his wife, Deborah Pickering, and his children, Donald is survived by his late brother Robert Pickering, his late brother Gary Pickering survived by his wife Sue Pickering, his late brother Mark Pickering survived by his wife Mary Pickering, his sister Gayle Martz and her husband Tom Martz, his sister Judy Kerr and her late husband Michael Kerr, his brother David Pickering and his wife Paula Pickering, and his brother Jackie Pickering. Donald is also survived by his eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In honor of Donald’s wishes there will be a private service at a later date.
