Maria (Serpa) Correia, 74, died Tuesday, May 9 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Joaquim E. Correia. Born in Flores, Azores, Portugal, she was educated in Flores and received her high school diploma in the United States. She was a resident of Stoughton for the past 39 years. Mrs. Correia was a homemaker.
She is the mother of Jack H. Correia of Attleboro and Maria F. Correia of Stoughton. She was the sister of Jose Serpa, Angela Serpa and Maria Amaral all of Stoughton and Antonio DeSerpa of E. Bridgewater. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Sarah Yasien and Janna Yasien.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday 5-8 PM. Burial will be Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
