Obituary

LEICESTER: Helen B. (Kolodziejczak) Russell, 96, of Leicester, died Saturday, June 4 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center, West Brookfield. She leaves her son Harold “Harry” W. Russell, Jr., and her daughter Pauline A. Dumont both of Leicester, 3 grandchildren; Brad Dumont and his wife Kristen, Jessica Wisniewski and her husband Erik and Kimberly Dumont, 4 great-grandchildren; Natalie and Mikayla Dumont,Skylar and Alaina Wisniewski. She leaves several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Harold W. Russell, Sr. who died in 2004 and 2 brothers; Francis and Edward Kolodziejczak.

She was born in Webster, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Domogawa) Kolodziejczak. Helen was a seamstress for Worcester Awning before retiring. She was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church, an avid camper and belonged to several camping associations, loved to garden, and enjoyed playing bingo.

The family would like to acknowledge the compassionate care given by the staff and especially her caretakers; Tori, Tara & David, while a patient at Quaboag Rehab.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, June 11 from MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester with a Mass at 9:00 AM in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Garden of Peace Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 10 from 4:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to, Catholic Charities of Worcester, 10 Hammond St., Worcester, MA 01609.
