Obituary

WEBSTER – Theresa M. (Shepard) Reich, 82, of 43 Greystone Avenue, died Monday, May 8, at home after an illness. Her husband of 50 years, Richard G. Reich, Sr., died in 1996.

She leaves a son, Richard G. Reich, Jr. of Dudley; 2 daughters, Linda McNulty and her husband Michael of South Yarmouth, and Pamela Mortensen and her husband James of Charlton; 2 sisters, Irene Bacovin of Webster and Norma Taberski of Thompson, CT; a sister-in-law, Irene Shepard of Thompson, CT; 3 grandchildren, Seth McNulty, Allison and Kristen Reich; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Michael Reich in 1960, by her brother Francis Shepard in 1979 and by her sister Dorothy Donovan in 2005.

She was born in Webster, a daughter of Frank and Marie (Daniels) Shepard and lived here all her life. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1940.

Mrs. Reich was an invoicer at Cranston Print Works Company. She was then a cashier and office clerk at Thrifty Super Market before retiring in 1978.

She was a member of Saint Louis Church, the St. Louis League of Catholic Women and the PAV Auxiliary. She was a league bowler, taking first place in several competitions. She enjoyed bingo, card playing and crocheting. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Friday, May 12, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are from 6:00 to 9:00 PM Thursday, May 11, at the funeral home. The family suggests donations be made to either VNA Hospice Care, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608, or to St. Louis School Endowment Fund, 15 Lake St., Webster, MA 01570
