Donna Lee ( Penniman ) Beauchamp, 72, beloved mother, memere, aunt, sister and friend, formerly of Portland ME, Manchester NH and most recently Auburn ME, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 24th after a brief illness ( the day after her 72nd birthday )
Raised in Bristol, ME, she had a longtime love for the Maine Seacoast. A longtime fan of music and an accomplished violist and pianist with a beautiful singing voice, she competed in many music recitals and concerts throughout her youth and young adulthood. In the late seventies, she was a member of the Portland Symphony Orchestra.
An excellent cook and avid reader, she also enjoyed a good crossword puzzle with her morning coffee.
She collected teddy bears and lighthouses and was a big fan of crime investigation shows, but the greatest love in her life was her family and she cherished being a mom and grandmother and excelled at both.
She was adored by all who met her and she will be missed by many.
Predeceased by her parents Dorothy ( Brown ) Penniman and Edwin F. Penniman, she leaves behind her 4 children, Brad Beauchamp and his wife Juanita of Manchester NH, Isa Beauchamp and her husband Ron Bolduc of Barnstead NH, Nathan Beauchamp of Greensboro, NC and Joshua Penniman of Auburn ME, her grandchildren Andrew, Nickolas and Alyssa Spiewak, Mickaela-Rae Beauchamp and Ron Bolduc, who adored their memere and loved her dearly.
She also leaves behind brothers Erik Dahl of Lewiston ME, John Penniman of Bath ME and sister Rita Grant of New Harbor ME and former husband Roger Beauchamp of Tampa FL and numerous nieces nephews cousins and friends.
Services will be held Friday, June 3rd from 4-6 pm at J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. Manchester NH 03101.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
